Carlos Texas

In Carlos Texas there is the Gibbons Creek Reservoir.  This weekend Harley and I went and camped with family.  Good times and some fun in the sun.  Too bad the fish were not biting.

If you ever get a chance to visit Gibbons Creek Res I strongly recommend it.

Cool mornings are the best

Harley and I are just hanging out enjoying the peaceful morning.  We love seeing the morning glories in all their…glory.

image

Of course Harley was hanging out trying his best to get more attention.

image

We are spending the rest of the day harvesting some veggies and planting two more trees.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far.

image

Oh yeah the magnolia tree is about to have one flower bloom.  I just love this tree and can’t wait for it to be giant.

Have a great weekend!

A couple more flowers…

These are the few Harley hasn’t decided to chew on.

A few roses come by to say hello.

We also got this…

image

It looks weird I know.  The hat or pointy thing on top will fall off soon.  I don’t know the scientific name for this plant but it basically is a wild onion.  This flower smells like onions and pepper.  Makes me want to grill it or something.

image

Yesterday we hung outside while it was raining.  We both got soaked.  It was fun and refreshing.  Well I enjoyed it.  I am not sure Harley did.

Hope everyone is well.

Citrus Tree Help…

I am not sure if this is the right place to ask but I was weedeating near my citrus tree and got to close.

image

As you can see I took a tiny chunk of the bark off.  My concern is if this will kill the tree.  Or is there something I can do to help like a bandaid.

Here us a pic of the whole tree.

image

It stands about 4 feet tall.  It was planted last year and gave about 5 fruit.  This year it looks like it might give a few more than that.

If anyone knows about citrus trees or can cross post that would be great.  Links to sites that might help are welcome too.

Meanwhile I will be Googling like a crazy person.

Thanks for taking the time to read and help.

Peaches

image

The peaches were ready to be picked.  Harley nibbled on one but decided he didn’t like it so much.  Maybe we’ll try again later.

Any ideas on what to do with them?  And remember that I can’t cook.  I was thinking peach tea.

So that makes ten total peaches this year from the tree I planted earlier this spring.

image

This was the tree earlier this year.  Kinda amazing how nature works.

image

This flower is from a trailing annual.  Not really sure Pf the name but I love the flowers.

Here is another.

And another.

I can’t get enough.  Beautiful or what?

Of course the garden is overgrown.

image

Next time I know that it needs to be at least twice the size for that any veggies.  Oh and that large stalk on the right is a radish.  I just learned they are not supposed to grow that big.  Sorry.

image

Of course Harley is supervising the whole time.

Next up are pics of the other trees in the yard.  Hope everyone is having a great spring.
